'Distorted understandings’, variable size, different versions in process

In the fall 2017 I started working with graphics. I have made different versions of pieces with the same material, and the piece is still in process...

Right now my idea is to make an installation-piece. The piece will consist of 10-15 paper lanes: woodcut-graphic on thin rice-paper. The prints will be hanged from sealing to floor with varying gaps.

 

The whole space will be filled and create an abstract landscape. The viewer will move inside the labyrinth of paper and will with their movements put ‘the columns’ in motion. They will be able to sense the presents of other viewers, but not know if they are observed.

 

The patterns and material can make associations to an unknown written language. But the signs are impossible to decode, and we have no access to a full comprehension and understanding.
