Installation

Skinless

Interrupted

Room ca. 3*1½*2 m. Objects of variable dimension. Dec. 2016

The installation contains of 14 nonfigurative objects made of chicken wire, fabric, latex and beeswax. Their
structure and size vary, they have a yellow-brown color and they seem sticky and damp.

When the viewer steps into the toilet, they meet a different room than first expected - weird lumps have taken over. The room has a strong smell - a mix of honey and latex, sweet and nauseating. The viewer is drawn and repulsed at the same time.

Skinless

Objects of variable dimension. October. 2016

‘Skinless’ contains 4 sculptures in different sizes. They are made of fabric, beeswax and chicken wire. They have organic and abstract shapes, but can seem like cocoons or beehives.

The texture and color can be associated with burnt skin and bandages. The skin is our biggest organ, our strong armor - but it can also be fragile and we can be permanently scarred.
